This is a HopeRF 2.4 GHz transceiver (transmitter + receiver) module. This module has 8 pins spaced at a 1.27 mm grid (not 2.54mm). The antenna is a trace on the PCB (no external antenna needed).
This is the successor to the HF-RFM70-D. Hardware-wise it is a drop-in replacement, but the software needs some minor adaptations.
